About the Red Jacobin
The Red Jacobin carries a gleaming ruby red with a rich copper sheen, free from green. It wears the breed's signature contrasting markings — white head below the eye, white rump, tail and around ten white flights per wing — set against the engulfing hood, mane and chain. Reds are among the most popular Jacobin colours, but the high-maintenance cowl that obscures the bird's sight makes it a breed for experienced keepers.
