About the White Jacobin
The pure white Jacobin is the most traditional and popular colour, prized because nothing distracts from the breed's defining feature: the vast feathered hood, mane and chain that engulf the head. The standard calls for a satin-like, silvery white throughout, with white head, beak, rump, tail and flights. Like all Jacobins it is a high-maintenance exhibition pigeon whose engulfing cowl restricts vision and often needs foster parents for rearing.
