About the Schietti Modena
Schietti are the self-coloured Modenas: the body and mantle are a single solid colour throughout, rather than the white-and-coloured pied pattern of the Gazzi. Bred in a vast range of grounds and pattern markings (bars, checks, white-tailed and similar variants are recognised within the schietti class). On the breed's small, cobby, high-carried frame the unbroken colour shows off plumage quality and is a staple of the exhibition Modena.
