About the Black-Headed Nun Pigeon
The black-headed Nun is the classic and most familiar form, carrying a solid, intense black on the head, bib, tail and primary flights against an otherwise pure-white body, ideally with a bright green sheen to the bib feathers and an ebony beak. As with all Nuns the colour is confined to those points and finished by the shell crest at the nape, the markings that give the breed its name. A long-established 'toy' show breed once flown as a tumbler.
