About the Blue Old Dutch Capuchine
The blue Old Dutch Capuchine is a barred variety: a light blue wing shield crossed by two clean black bars, the breast shading from light blue up to a darker blue neck with glistening green iridescence. It is the breed's wild-type colour, against which the dilute silver is judged. The pattern is shown beneath the same broad hood, mane and rosettes that define the breed.
