About the Red Old Dutch Capuchine
A self red Old Dutch Capuchine carries the ash-red base evenly across the body; the standard calls for a gleaming chestnut red with a rich copper sheen and no green cast. As with every colour the breed is judged first on its dramatic feathered hood, mane and neck rosettes framing the head, with colour a secondary refinement. Red is one of the breed's most popular and frequently shown self colours.
