About the Blue Pygmy Pouter
The Blue Pygmy Pouter shows the wild-type ground — slate-blue body with two black wing bars and a dark tail bar — topped by the breed’s bright white crescent on the puffed crop. Blue bar is one of the staple recognised colours of the breed. As with all Pygmy Pouters, the colour is secondary to form: a slim-waisted, stocking-legged little bird carried tall and inflating its crop into a neat white-crescented globe in display.
