About the Pied Pygmy Pouter
The Pied is the classic, most familiar Pygmy Pouter pattern: a coloured bird broken with crisp white markings — the bright white crescent across the inflated crop, white rose-patterned wing butts, white flights and white feet on an otherwise coloured ground. Achieving balanced rosettes without overrunning into the faulted “bishop wings” is a key breeder challenge. It carries all the miniature show-pouter traits — tall, slim-waisted, stocking-legged — in a no-more-than-12-inch package.
