About the Blue Bar Racing Homer
Blue bar is the wild-type colour of the pigeon: a blue-grey body carrying two clean black bars across each wing shield, exactly as the rock dove ancestor wore it. It is the commonest and most familiar colour in racing lofts, and many fanciers regard it as the foundation against which other colours are selected. On a Racing Homer it dresses the same sleek, powerful, homing-bred athlete underneath.
