About the Black Show Tumbler
A self (whole-feather) black, coloured solid to the root of the quill and as rich and lustrous as possible, with the green-bronze sheen prized in self varieties. Black is one of the recognised self colours of the Short-faced Tumbler and, like all of them, was historically regarded as secondary to the Almond. It serves to display the breed's exquisitely short face, bold round head and big pearl eyes against an even, jet ground.
