About the Cinnamon Button Quail
Cinnamon (called Fawn in Europe) is a recessive dilution developed in Australia that warms the plumage to light tan, ranging widely from dark grey-brown to a reddish, sandy tan. The wild patterning is softened and the overall effect is a paler, browner bird; the gene can sit hidden in carrier lines. It retains the King Quail's thumb-sized build and quiet ground-dwelling nature.
