About the Tuxedo Button Quail
Tuxedo is a pied pattern rather than a separate colour gene: a more structured white expression (typically a white breast, belly or bib, often with white wingtips) over a darker base, giving a penguin-like 'formal wear' look. It is one expression of the white/pied gene, sitting alongside splash (heavier white) and random pied. It can appear on any base colour of this tiny aviary quail.
