About the White Button Quail

An all-white (not albino) bird with dark eyes, produced when the incomplete-dominant white gene is carried in double factor; single-factor birds instead show partial white as tuxedo or splash patterning. Most whites are heavily pied with the underlying colour fully masked, so they do not reliably breed true. Aside from the snow-white plumage, it is the same diminutive, easy-going King Quail of the aviary.
