About the Calico Japanese Quail
Calico is an incomplete-dominant pattern mutation that widens the cream/yellow striations along the back and, in the homozygous Pharaoh form, adds heavier black markings, reducing the fine even speckling of the wild type into bolder blotches. The effect varies with the base colour it sits on. A normal productive Japanese quail otherwise.
