About the Cinnamon Japanese Quail
Cinnamon is a sex-linked recessive that washes the plumage to a pale light-brown or dun and gives the bird distinctive pink or red eyes. Being sex-linked it shows more readily in males, and its inheritance differs from the autosomal colour genes. A standard egg-and-meat Coturnix beneath the dilute colour.
