About the Egyptian Japanese Quail
Egyptian is the roux-dilute of the wild Pharaoh — the same speckled brown pattern but lightened throughout to a softer, warmer tan, paler than standard Pharaoh. It is the roux mutation applied to the wild type, the lightest member of the roux series. Otherwise carries all the prolific laying and quick maturity of the base breed.
