About the English White Japanese Quail
English White is near-pure white, typically carrying just a small dot of base colour on the crown — the homozygous form of the dotted-white gene (an autosomal incomplete dominant). Crossed back, it throws Tuxedos, making it a foundation colour for pied birds. Plumage aside it lays and matures like any Japanese quail and the pale carcass is valued for the table.
