About the Silver Japanese Quail
Silver is an autosomal incomplete-dominant mutation: one copy gives a light silver-grey bird with the base pattern faintly showing through, two copies a near-white pale cream. Homozygous Silver is linked to slower growth and later maturity than other colours. Otherwise a normal egg-and-meat Coturnix.
