About the British White Turkey

Pure white in both sexes and entirely free of cream or off-colours, the British White is distinguished from commercial white strains by its native standard form: dark blue-black eyes (iris dark hazel, pupil blue-black), a white-to-horn beak, pink throat and wattles, and flesh-pink legs and feet. A good-sized table bird — mature stags reach up to 12.7kg (28lb), hens up to 9kg (20lb) — it is classed Light in the standard. The true standard British White is exceedingly rare and listed as a Priority native breed on the RBST Watchlist.
