About the Mixed Olive Egger
Because the Olive Egger is a hybrid cross rather than a standardised breed, there is no fixed plumage — each bird is its own mix. Depending on the Marans, Araucana, Legbar or Ameraucana parentage, you'll see earthy browns, blacks, blues and greys, sometimes with mottling or speckling, and occasional muffs, beards or feathered legs inherited from a parent. That variability is the point: every hen looks individual and lays her own shade of green, from deep olive to lighter khaki.
