Clutches from breeders 1

The male is cream coloured from the Schofield silver collection. From the chicks he has produced so far I can tell he has one fawn, one or two roux and one silver gene.

My hens came from different breeders. The hens are: Italian, pearl fee and blau pansy.

So far the chicks that have hatched include: Egyptian, silver Egyptian, Italian, silver Italian, various shades of cream / gold / ginger / blau / blau fee /blau fee with leakage (cream with black wing tips), pearl fee (silver pearl fee should also be possible), I think tuxedo should be possible but not seen any yet. The odd wild type may appear, but there's so many colour and pattern genes from the parents that it seems rare that none that are visible are inherited.

About the Mixed Japanese Quail (Lucky Dip)

The world's domesticated quail, the Japanese (Coturnix) quail is a small, speckled brown bird and an egg-laying marvel — top strains lay around 300 dainty, mottled eggs a year, maturing in just six weeks. First bred in Japan centuries ago, it's now the mainstay of quail-keeping for eggs and meat the world over. Quick, prolific and easy to keep.
